Washington & Jefferson College partnered with us to create a permanent installation honoring the history, achievements, and impact of women’s athletics. The exhibit transforms a campus corridor into an immersive storytelling experience, guiding visitors through more than five decades of milestones, championship moments, pioneering athletes, and program growth.
A dedicated feature within the exhibit celebrates the remarkable career of Vicki Staton, whose influence on women’s athletics at Washington & Jefferson College spanned nearly four decades. As a coach, mentor, educator, and advocate, Staton helped build programs that achieved sustained success while opening doors for generations of student-athletes. She remains the college’s all-time leader in coaching victories and is widely recognized as one of the most influential figures in W&J athletics history.
Rather than presenting information as a static collection of dates and accomplishments, the exhibit was designed as a journey through time. Large-scale graphics, period photography, and carefully curated milestones create a visual narrative that invites students, alumni, recruits, and visitors to engage with the program’s rich history.
The timeline balances historical context with milestones highlighting the athletes, coaches, and teams who helped shape women’s athletics at Washington & Jefferson College. The result is an installation that informs, inspires, and reinforces a sense of pride throughout the campus community.
